Works on Paper: Intuition
These small images have come to me unbidden for decades. They are integral to my process and serve as probes which capture the initial imagery suggested to me through my involvement with other projects. I work intuitively on a few at a time, setting one after another aside as complete when I sense a balance has been reached or an image embodied. Often figure, landscape or archetypal forms emerge. In the context of decades of activity the collected images attest to the fluidity of discovery. Now they stand alone as intimate gestural abstractions in a variety of media on paper.
